when I open firefox it hides the ubuntu menu bars (top&bottom) and covers the

other computer. Install the USB with persistance(any changes are saved).

Sorry, my mistake.
The driver is alright.
It detects the card and displays the message "AGP Card Detected". But after
that it checks if it is a from RS400 family and corrects it to CARD_PCI, but
does not display any message regarding this change.
The DRI was not starting due to the KMS.

I have Radeon Xpress 200 (RC410) on Foxconn RC410MA motherboard

I didn't try building kernels and stuff but would surely try it when I have

Being a desktop user suspend doesn't matter much to me.
Its not actually a bug in kernel but a bug in the application that is
trying to acquire large size memory pages and kernel is failing to
provide those pages. In our case the application that was misbehaving
was the device driver of our network card. Try updating the nic card
driver on your system
