shutdown via "sudo halt". Shutdown seemed to be OK, but the PC (desktop)
was not switched off. I didn't experience this problem on Oneiric. It
was introduced after the upgrade to Precise Pangolin.

working on battery power does). I've tried thermald, which kept the cores about
5°C cooler, but didn't speed up the fan (it's not set to do so). I didn't try

The power cog is still not turning red to remind of a necessary restart.
I've noticed though that it turns red, when the user logs out and logs
in again. It also turns red after my laptop has been in standby (suspend
to RAM) and wakes up. Looks like the menu is not refreshed otherwise.

yes, the error is logged to ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon-
exceptions.log (see comment #13 & #17). And yes, I reconnected to U1
service because I rebooted the machine (see comment #15).

I can confirm this.
I created "~/.ubuntuone/Purchased from Ubuntu One" manually and
restarted my computer. Then after opening banshee, Ubuntu One discovered
the new folder as new cloud folder.
I then opened Ubuntu One > Cloud Folders and marked folder "Purchased
Music" for "Sync locally".
