Upgraded from 11.10 to 12.04 and using nvidia-current with a 8600gtm
with unity and twinview with external monitor.
I had some sort of this "puzzle" on the external monitor since oneiric.
Now its on both screens but IIRC its just black and gray and not the things

Another peace for the puzzle: bug vanished until another reboot.
After 13h I powered on the monitor and (surprise) there was a DP
signal. I turned off 2 times waiting ~ some seconds and ~ 2 minutes.
And for both I got the DP signal.
Then I rebooted, turn off and of the monitor and the bug is

still same problem here with dualview setup. when using the "put right"
thing on the left monitor the windows reaches to the other (right)
monitor for some pixels.

i tried to set it to "hide" in ccsm but that didnt help. setting it to "hide"
in myunity didnt help either. the setting in myunity is siwtching to
"intelligent" or "move from windows" randomly every time i open it.
so i just updated 12.04 and now both starters work again as aspected.

Also the pakage that provided gconf can not be found with "apt-cache search"

toggle didnt work. could manage to get into ccsm because the zoom was
only on the external monitor. disabled the ezoom plugin and after some
hanging unity restartet and all opened windows were still open.

after an dist-upgrade removed unity and i reinstalled it unity doesnt load
properly:
it just shows a black screen. i can start a terminal with ctrl-alt-t which
brings up the terminal with decorations etc.
gnome-classic works fine when selected on lightdm.

Walter, that might be a quick solution but it is not very comfortable.
I'm using Clementine instead of Rhythmbox in the meantime, which is a
good alternative in my opinion.
That's why I like Linux: A bug in your favourite tool encourages you to
try out another one. Nevertheless I hope that the gvf
-linux-gnu/bits/types.h
/usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu/sys/types.h
So sys and bits location is now 'arch' dependent and h should point to
/usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu/sys
instead of /usr/include/sys

Using a Dell Vostro 1500 with nvidia 8600GTM with an external Monitor
via VGA wth nvidia-current.
Used to have 2 seperate X Screens on Lucid before with gnome2.
Twinview works on both Screens, but with seperate x-screens options i either
get a white screen or the wallpa
