I have installed both ppa's and I can confirm that FPS seem too be back like it
was in natty.
I have tested xbmc, ioquake3, RevengeOfTheTitans and they all seem to run much
better now.

windows come back very quickly.
Also the unity-panel-service doesn't use that much memory in my case. I think

I am not the reporter of the bug, but the problem is still present for

If I uncheck compiz sync to vblank windows move slow.
The problem is that with sync to vblank enabled windows move smooth but
fullscreen updates are limited to 30FPS for me.

Maybe i can give some infos: First: My unity crashed. After unity
--reset (still runs in the background) i wanted to open evolution for
copying some relevant infos from the running terminal. Now i opened
Evolution from the launcher, went to "memos", created a new one, went
back to the terminal wind
After the crash i reported a few minutes ago (enabling dektop cube) i had to
restart.
After restart: Nothing, but really nothing is here no more. No launcher, no
panel, no desktop. Ctrl-Alt-T doesn't work so i made a link for a terminal on
the desktop. In the terminal i wrote:
unity --reset.

As it seems this problem comes from the CRT hotplug detection.
I have booted the kernel with this option "drm.debug=0x06" and now I see this
message in my logs:
kernel: [ 833.140022] [drm:intel_crt_detect], CRT not detected via hotplug
As a workaround I have tried to execut this command:
echo N
I also have noticed that setting
# echo n > /sys/module/drm_kms_helper/parameters/poll
has no effect.
I also checked that the parameter was set right.
cat /sys/module/drm_kms_helper/parameters/poll
N
I still see this message in my logs

After filling an report upstream Chris Wilson toled me that this is a bug in
upowerd:

He also toled me that this should be fixed in a new upstream package from

If I kill
My locale is set to German de_DE.
Two commata are shown in the panel and the weekday is half translated. On
Language support applet In the example it shows the right - in the indicator
panel the wrong weekday (see screenshot).

Every time I open gwibber or empathy they get positioned a few pixel rightwards.
The windows start to move out of my workspace.
