Installed 9.10 on a Acer one using a USB-key, Ubuntu was given a 30GB partision

I went threw the not so user friendly steps of installing a modem driver in
karmic.

I would still say this is a bug.
It only affects 8 of of all the things in the menus and the space for the icons
are still left, so i don't even see a reason for this option, or why it i off
by default in 9.10.
