The newer procps allows for individual overrides to sysctl. The latest
Wine package needs one of these, creating a file at
/etc/sysctl.d/wine.sysctl.conf containing an override entry for
vm.mmap_min_addr. Wine needs this at 0, the system default

If I install Photoshop in Wine, it offers to automatically associate
itself with jpeg files. This doesn't work - double clicking jpegs still
opens them with the default viewer. Right clicking them also doesn't
even list Photoshop as an option.

The scope of this should be fairly minor, as the only app that I know of
that uses 32 bit libssl under amd64 is Wine, and then only if the user
is running an application that requires it (like, say, Windows Firefox
or Putty).

When I click the Backgrounds tab to select a wallpaper, clicking
individual wallpapers does not work. I have a custom wallpaper right
now which I selected through other means, but even when I click the
default wallpapers nothing happ
Upstream is reporting that they can't confirm this bug in the latest
Wine.
Could you please test the Wine beta packages here:

This is intentional on my part - it's why I maintain two different trees
of the package (one in Ubuntu proper, one at winehq).

Reopening, and confirming, in Intrepid. It's highly annoying. You have
to do a specific step to reproduce it - click save as, then click on one
of the favorite folders (eg Pictures) at the bottom on the left.

You make a good point Endolith, although I don't think we currently have
a mechanism inside the thumbnailer for determining which of
Wine/Crossover/etc will open a particular executable. I'll try and talk
to Codeweavers about it.

Seb, this bug is still about a very open (and very annoying) issue, but
the bug you've linked it to has all its tasks marked invalid; and seems
to be about multiple issues. I think it'd be better if we kept this one
open and pointed the other bug here.
