I'm reopening this bug. Something changed in Intrepid (perhaps recently) that
broke this again in Wine. I have a fix that I think will work though: for some
reason running xdg-open .wine/dosdevices/c\: works but if you include the $HOME
you get "

The reason this happens is because ia32-libs lacks the new (renamed)
libcups2 package. Instead it has the 32-bit version of the old name,
which doesn't have any files. As a result, Wine can't find the libcups2
library when it builds, and disables it.

At Wineconf, the Wine developers agreed on an alternative solution that
seems optimal for Wine:

It's because Wine installs the winbind package, which is how it gets the
ntlm_auth functions it needs sometimes. Once you've installed that
Samba tries to use it, and breaks.

When is shared-mime-info NOT installed these days? Seems like it should
be a dependency of several packages that evince requires.

For the keyboard issue, try hitting numlock on and off. Wine does some
weirdness with that sometimes, and if a game cares about the state of
numlock (for instance it causes a pause in Half Life) then things might
act up.

Wine alpha releases (1.1.4 among them), while they do have new features,
are also full of regressions. We really don't want to break things
working for someone when they update from Hardy to Intrepid; that's our
job when picking a Wine package.
