I also have this problem with a clean gutsy install. I'm using a wired
connection and it takes 20+ seconds to load a new page. This is the only
problem that is keeping me from moving fully to ubuntu. Feisty worked
fine though.

This works a little better, It will check every 1/2 a second for the
device, then as soon as it shows up it continues. Should speed things up
from the above fix a bit.

After upgrading today i don't have a gnome-panel anymore. Thats probably
what is happening above.
Without the gnome-panel All i see the the brown background.
There are some unresolved dependancys for gnome-panel, Looks like its
still at 2.16 and everything else gnome is at 2.17.
Other stuff is m
Yeah works for me, I did a update, then a dist-upgrade, then a apt-get
install gnome-panel and everything is working again.

Thats pretty much what i came up with to get it working.
except that theres no need to create symlinks to vgchange, it should
instead call `lvm vgchange`, the lvm script does it incorrectly to by
making symlinks.
And yeah it has to run _before_ lvm, it takes care of all the lvm stuff
it self, ha

I just want to confirm this on the same hardware.
The so called "front mic" correctly works with the mic pluged in but the "Int
mic" the one above the screen doesn't.
I've tried all alsa-base.conf mode option for ALC269 but not setting it it's
the best option.
I've also run pavucontrol/meter/kmix

9.10 / grub2: modify /etc/defaults/grub and modify the "splash quiet" line by
including 'i8042.noloop=1'. Afterwards run update-grub2.
You can test this by adding 'i8042.noloop=1' in the grub menu at boot.
This works also for me :-)
