I don't know where you got it from, you tell me.
I maintain OpenOffice.org for Ubuntu so I would know if 3.0.0 was in
Ubuntu 8.04. OpenOffice.org 3.0.0 wasn't even released when Ubuntu 8.04
was released and we do not put entirely new versions of OpenOffice.org
into old releases of Ubuntu.

Yes, I see what appears like the bug, but I didn't know where to go to
select that option for the shape in the user interface... That was what
I was asking. That way I can make sure to completely and properly

I'm the Ubuntu OOo maintainer...
It looks so wrong its actually hard to describe. When opened in OOo it
looks like you see part of the windows desktop(?) which isn't there at
all when displayed under PowerPoint 2007.
I'll take a look at this more later when determining if this should go

The gtk style isn't required either so if you were to start with Kubuntu
and install Gnome instead you would get the same problem. However if you
had installed openoffice.org-kde to get the rest of the KDE integration

Ok, well basically all you have to do to get spellchecking working is
make sure you know what the language setting is for the document you are
working on and then make sure you have a spell-checker for that exact
language setting installed. Eg if your document is English (Canada) then
you would nee

highlight light grey/blue. Then select using either shift-arrow or
select all from the menu. After doing that you can go to
