Hello Johannes and thanks for your bug report. I tried to reproduce the
issue you described in a simple setup, but I couldn't. Perhaps my dummy
setup is too simple and the reload happens too fast. I assume you are
using `systemctl reload` to make nginx reload its config.
Without steps to reproduce
A kernel patch that fixes this issue was finally released in May 2019.
It eventually found it's way into Ubuntu 18.04 and later releases. I've
had difficulty checking if it is Ubuntu 16.04.7 or earlier update to
Ubuntu 16.04 but official support for Ubuntu 16.04 ended in April 2021.
Are you still
Further to my above comment, the fix for this issue arrived in Ubuntu
18.04 "Bionic Beaver" in the 4.15.0-55.60 kernel update, released on
2019-07-22.

to clarify, don't do that, you should create a systemd-networkd 'drop-
in' instead of copying/modifying the file.
For example, if the networkd config filename for

I ran the regressions tests (scons check) from the security ppa package

Does this problem still occur with Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS which was released
on August 13, 2020?
Note that Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS was the last update to Ubuntu 16.04 and
official support for Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS ended in April 2021. It is
recommended that you update to a supported release such as Ubuntu
