Regarding my previous post what happened is that the touchpad started to

Within xev rectangle, it (button 1) does not show output first time. but

This crash seems to happen every time I send an email via Kmail. Mail
Dispatcher Agent freezes. Only workaround is to 'pkill akonadi' and
restart akonadi from within Kmail, at which point the email sends.

I'd rebuilt the box a couple of time by the time I read that and no
longer had the make.log available as the disk had been reformated. Can
confirm that moving to 21.04 and no longer had the problem
