It advised me to reinstall virtualbox-dkms.
This happens if I try to install virtualbox-dkms:

we need to build arch/x86/entry/thunk_64.S only when CONFIG_PREEMPTION
is set, otherwise the generated object will be empty, the new assembler

[1]. Could be fixed for 2021 with a few s/2020/2021/, waiting for a
better fix accounting for year changes to land upstream.

Try to install Ubuntu 20.04 via a Bootstick first on the SSD, later on the HDD.
In either cases I received a failer message saying

Simon's deb package worked for me! I'm planning to reinstall Ubuntu with
a fresh installation as I'm seeing few other issues pop up since it
upgraded to the 5.8 kernel like it tells me My laptop doesn't have
