The package 'ubuntu-desktop' doesn't exist for 16.04 on s390x where I
encountered this error.
Adding a bionic repository to sources.list without upgrading works as a hacky
workaround since this package exists in bionic and the failing check is simply
a verification if this package is installed.

vmc, but I don't know how to make my system have the same problem. In
other words, it is not that way on a fresh install. I suspect there is

/etc/fstab to account for non-root filesystems and generally

filesystem on a read-only iscsi server.
The /etc/fstab file in the image looks like this:

While it might seem unimportant "only" hitting some open-iscsi tests we
can't be sure how many cases and how many people are hit by this every
now and then.
So I think this really is more important than it might seem at first.
