Is it HDMI from the board to HDMI on the monitor? I'd like to rule out
any use of an adapter or HDMI-to-DVI cable.
What monitor is this?
Is the monitor detected?
What do you see in the 'status', 'enabled', 'dpms', and 'modes' files in
/sys/class/drm/card0-HDMI-A-1/ ?

My personal opinion is that saying "don't send" when we do send

Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #1635824, so is being marked as such.
Problem seems to be in Ubuntu packaging, as this fixes problem.
1) copy all containers to another LXD machine
2) do fresh Bionic install
3) copy all containers back
At this point all problems resolve, so some sort of packaging problem in
the Artful to Bionic upgrade.

Marking verification-done for artful.
IBM Cloud only provides Ubuntu at LTS versions, so there is no
artful image that we can launch. Thus, this test is a bit contrived
and the bug is quite unlikely to affect a user there.
To test anyway, we launch an Ubuntu 16.04, and manually upgrade it to

Hello Joseph, or anyone else affected,
Accepted glance into ocata-proposed. The package will build now and be
available in the Ubuntu Cloud Archive in a few hours, and then in the
-proposed repository.
Please help us by testing this new package. To enable the -proposed
repository:
sudo add-apt
Since this would be a feature change for an uncommon use case, it is
unlikely that it will be fixed in existing stable releases so I'm
marking this Won't Fix for the stable releases. Feel free to comment
with a justification against

At the risk of saying something completely unrelated; any change this is
a regression of #1310058 where the UUID got overwritten? It came back a

actually use this method, and might not test for this scenario, making a
