Public bug reported:

I bought a new laptop Asus GM501GS, and the touch-pad is not working. I
tried adding i8042.reset, i8042.nohup, etc. And nothing worked. Besides,
when installed Ubuntu, the touch-pad also stopped working in BIOS and
Windows.

When I delete Ubuntu partition and fresh install Windows again. Touch-
pad starts working properly.
