On 16.04 and using the Xubuntu session (this isn't limited to XFCE) I
noticed that my notebook fails to suspend via power-management when the
idle timeout expires. When returning to it, if it still has power, I see
a polkit-agent GUI dialog asking me to authenticate.

xserver-xorg-input-synaptics seem to have fixed the issue, but shouldn’t

We discussed in the sprint two weeks ago how we could prevent this from
happening again. Part of the problem here is that this only shows up in
a multi-stage upgrade, because it's a misbehavior of systemd that was
triggered on the prerm script.

Thanks, removing the packages makes the errors go away.
Do you think the error message is misleading? Instead of saying "Failed
to start AppArmor initialization", perhaps it should say, "Failed to
load some profiles"?
