When the command sudo is running dies due to a signal, sudo will now

I created a custom CD from Ubuntu 16.04.1 with the environment I wanted.
I installed ubiquity and ubiquity-frontend-gtk onto the filesystem of the
LiveCD.
The installer was run by executing (double-clicking) the icon on the Desktop of
the LiveCD.
The command on the icon is
sh -c 'ubiquity gtk_u
Confirm that this still exits in 16.04.
My machine is a Thinkpad T530 with NVidia NVS 5400M GPU. I've tried all the
workarounds above, not fixing the bug. I doubt it's related to NVidia drivers.
