I realized that part of my former verification was caused by the kvm-in-
lxd env I use to avoid needing too much metal. So I retried on x86 again

Blue on black unreadable for me on Ubuntu Server 2016.04.1 (which has no
GUI, by the way)
How the color appears seems to depend on the console emulator, but on
Ubuntu Server it is hard to switch to an alternative console emulator.
Maybe that's the terminal of Ubuntu Server that needs to be fixed.
Everything seems ok after rebooting again.
After writing this bug report I did a reboot, I started the normal
programs I am working with now : Firefox, Chromium , LibreOffice and
there were no more system problems/crashes reported (I think I waited
for 10 minutes in case some error showed up, but

I've hit an issue where LightDM trying to switch directly from a USC-
owned VT to an X-owned VT crashes X instead and doesn't switch VTs after
all.
I'm not sure exactly where the problem lies or exactly what the root
cause is. But here's my reproduction steps:

Was this tested on arm64 please? I feel we should. What if, for example,
numa support is completely broken on arm64 and this is why it was
disabled? By landing this, we could be regressing arm64 support if we
don't test it.
Please test (or confirm tested) on arm64 and then mark v-d.
