I have the latest ubuntu 16.04 release to install on usb which i bought

I tried to upgrade this on my existing system but it crashed part way
through giving an error message saying problem with cd or hard drive.

A few comments:
1) It's not acceptable for a postinst to hang waiting on a problem with the
disk. If there was a problem with the disk, the post install script did the
right thing by stopping and showing you an error.

Ok, this is caused by restoring previous profile in enforcing mode, not
"complain" on revert as we don't restore the flags. This is incorrect

completely hide the unity launcher is not working anymore, the setting

@Jeremy: for the same reasons you posted, this package could potentially also
be safely removed.
The new version adds new features so, also if they are not so many, as per
FreezeExceptionProcess I *had* to request this exception and IMHO I don't think
"package ATM FTBFS" is a good reason to uplo
of course, you have to conditionalize the rules file too
