thought they had some kind of dependecy checking in place before syncing?
Anyways, this is the developement release, maybe there are plans to upgrade

I'm now able to boot Linux Mint..
First, I blacklisted the module wistron_btns in the grub (by adding
"modprobe.blacklist=wistron_btns" at the end of the "linux" line) to be
able to boot. Then, I added "blacklist wistron_btns" at the end of the
file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
Now, Linux Mint
after today updates the wifi works again. thanks.

Pawel, unfortunately I have no Ethernet connection on my laptop and
bringing up wlan0 along with dhclient did not help.
