Apologies for misleading you - I thought you were more familiar with
btrfs. The summary change is incorrect and btrfs is doing the right
thing. Quite simply the filesystem is made up of more than one
partition, so more than one partition correctly has the same UUID. But

machine). My graphics card is Intel+AMD-Radeon and I'm using the last
driver beta from AMD.
For me too, logout hangs (from Unity or even from FlashBack Metacity) : the
screen becomes black and the air-fan blows...

You're right, sorry for false alarm.
it's the python local packages that pip installs, not sure why it's
broken (updated to Ubuntu 15.04 which means new python 2.7.9) and even
pip list fails. Removed python-pip package and sabnzbplus works fine.

Tried several solutions above (not upstart-sys) but nothing worked for
me. I could only get into a graphical session by typing startx from a
TTY. Logs didn't output anything that I was able to make sense of, so,
for the time being I've uninstalled sddm and have replaced it with slim.
Now I can log
You might want to use the package in trusty-proposed, which includes the
fix. Somebody must have marked LP: #1424491 as Fix released, when it
really isn't (as the packages are still in -proposed)

The initial bug will be fixed once light-locker does not depend on VT
switching anymore [1].
Changing the mentioned light-locker option or allowing inactive user
sessions to suspend the system (logind policy) are possible workarounds.
