I have the same problem with my Dell Latitude, the dell keyboard layout is
german but the Logitech K270 bluetooth keyboard has the english layout.
Sometimes it even persists after login and the bluetooth keyboard stays
english, sometimes not.

and `y` are numbers which doesn't provide any feedback what is
happening. The logging seems to have the purpose of debugging and should
only be displayed when debugging is requested explicitly.

I had this problem on Ubuntu 14.04 with Fail2Ban v0.8.11.
Using "backend = polling" in /etc/fail2ban/jail.local seems to work for
me.
