Hello, Thank you for this bug report!
> moved rubber from depends to suggested I agree that we should remove it. > added texlive-latex-extra as suggested It's just a suggestion for those who wants to be sure that they have almost all LaTeX packages. I think it's better to keep it. Note that for TexMaker, "latex-beamer" and "texlive-latex-extra" are recommended. LyX recommends many texlive-latex packages ; Gummy recommends "texlive-extra-utils", "texlive-latex-base" and "texlive- xetex". Added some packages as suggested ones can help beginners I think. > added texlive-latex-recommended, hicolor-icon-theme as recommended packages "hicolor-icon-theme" is just the default theme for the icons, most users should have it. I guess it's not a big deal if it is not added but it's maybe better to keep it. I think that before, "texlive" package didn't have a dependence to "texlive-latex-recommended" (maybe very old packages) but I see that by adding "texlive", we also add "texlive-latex-recommended". Note that on Ubuntu, LaTeXMk is a mandatory dependence, not just recommended. Of course, LaTeXila can work without LaTeXMk but without it, the user will have errors because LaTeXMk is the default builder. But I agree that most users will install recommended packages. I think "gsettings-desktop-schemas" package is also needed because LaTeXila is compiled with "gsettings-desktop-schemas-dev" and the settings for the fonts, etc. are defined by xml files provided by this "gsettings-desktop-schemas" package. @Sébastien: may you confirm? Do you agree with that? :-) @Jackson: Yes, I think we can sync latexila 3.14.2-1 from Debian unstable. I'll try to report my suggestions to Tanguy ASAP! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1407385 Title: Sync latexila 3.14.2-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/latexila/+bug/1407385/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
