Public bug reported:
This is what I get when I launch byobu:
/usr/share/byobu/profiles/tmux:25: can't establish current session [0/0]
/usr/share/tmux/screen-keys.conf: No such file or directory
And then I press enter and everything seems normal.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13
Public bug reported:
I attempted to install grub on a 2GB unencrypted boot partition, with
the rest of ubuntu under 4 layers of LUKS encyription. It failed when it
got to grub and after several attempts at changing the filesystem type
it crashed completely.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu
The mainline kernel does not fix this bug.
I installed linux-
image-3.9.0-030900-generic_3.9.0-030900.201304291257_amd64.deb and the
associated linux-headers- packages from the mainline builds repository.
This was the latest version available for raring, which I am using.
Attached is a dmesg log.

I worked around the error by changing the "LANG" variable to
"en_US.UTF-8"
export LANG=en_US.UTF-8
After that do-release-upgrade worked like a charm.

As it turns out, I don't think my host hardware supported eSATA port
multiplier. I have a Dell Optiplex 980 small form factor with an Intel

port multipliers are supported, it appears to be disabled in the
Optiplex system. I wa
