Update: issue not better in Raring's final release. Additionally, after
I mounted a partition and click its icon in the Unity launchbar, it
behaves the same as described earlier. Totem mediaplayer opens, instead
of Nautilus filemanager.
I added this comment, as it is not possible to edit a bug.
I fixed my local installation of phatch by editing
"/usr/share/phatch/phatch/lib/thumbnail.py" and changing "import
PngImagePlugin" in line 62, to "from PIL import PngImagePlugin".

I have also just started having this problem on a Lenovo T500. I can
boot into recovery mode, but am unable to boot normally while my usb
drive is connected. The cpu (as noted above) goes crazy and overheats in
fairly short order and I have to let it cooldown before I can try again.

The "Wizards On/Off" in the toolbar "Form Controls" doesn't appear. If I

back any activity on the Bug, I thought I'd assign it to a some group,

Sorry for the delay in replying - unfortunately am juggling a lot right now. To

and rebooted came back with video trash. Tried nomodeset then and it worked.

The video thing hasn't happened again, but I only opened and closed one
*.flv and one *.avi file with the Movie Player and didn't watch them
full time, which is what I did last time the movie problem came up
