It happened again. What I did:
- (it is a system with precise 12.04 LTS installed)
- removed /.rpmdb/ (I did it just for fun, without any reason)
- made sure /.rpmdb/ is not here
- installed updates with update-manager
- One day later, I checked /.rpmdb/ and it was there again.

designed for typical usage.
If this was userspace filesystem, the user may want to restart it immediately
without waiting for the window to be sorted out, but if this was pdfgrep

I'm using Ubuntu quantal (development branch), since the new 3.5 kernel
coming, I can't boot I don't know where is the problem, kernel or ati module,
but with 3.4 kernel there is no problem booting the Ubuntu.

I don't think these log files will be useful for you, and I don't think
you need to see the log files to solve this problem, because it's a bug
that you already solved in the previous version. Anyway if you need to
have the kernel log file when I plug in the docking station after the
boot just ask
