your console before login with LXDM. After this you can logout from your

I ran shred on a hard drive (/dev/sdd) and then tried to run partprobe
to make the device node for its sole partition disappear (/dev/sdd1). It
was not mounted at the time. partprobe claimed to succeed, but in fact

I cannot. I don't have the skills to do that. I have no idea how to test
without removing the default system I have. But know this, If the web cam
breaks the Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 on a clean install process, I really

Yes, I have tried nvidia-current and nvidia-current-updates, same problem.
Have tried NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-310.32.run and NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-295.59.run,
but got worse , the resolution is fixed at 640x480.
It seems a configuration problem instead of driver support. I will continue
look into it.

Mmm I remember that bug even in Quantal without SNA so I don't think
