After starting a programm that uses sound, like vlc, skype, vbox,
the sound is very bad, a lot of mush. After mute/unmute it works or just
changing the volume (also if change it to the same value again) it
works. If I use vlc to hear radio and change the channel, the mush

I had the same issue, and I figured out how to do change the handler
(Ubuntu 12.10).

if the following is literal: "cannot write to etc./minicom/minird.xxx", there
is an odd problem with the path ("etc./").
if it's not literal, you probably need to start minicom with sudo to make sure
it can write a file in /etc
you could dump the modem's diagnostics from windows, and see if that
looks in order...

I tried to reproduce this on:
- Debian x86-64 with 3.6 sources updated today.
- Win7 64, with 3.6.4.3
In both cases, I haven't reproduced the behaviour described in comment1.
Of course, I had to undo twice, since there were 2 actions to undo.
Perhaps I missed something but could someone give a try

and now it works.
For some reason the PATH variable was not passed to the dispatcher.

I understand that if you don't move your cursor you don't expect the workspace
to change, but one never only do :
- press Super-S

because it's supposed to do nothing, I think one do :

Indicator and try to switch to a different language, gnome shell crashes

I found out how to fix it . . I had to go to the Ubuntu side of the 12.10 64
bit and open the time and then go to the tab of show day, date. and time. then
restart and go back to the Gnome Classic side and the Day month and year are
there along with the time
