For what it's worth, if I go to my iPod's device properties in
Rhythmbox, and deselect the Podcasts, and then choose Sync, it DOES go
through the sync process... sort of.
When it "completes" the iPod shows as having synced, but the iPod itself
doesn't show any of the synced music. Choosing "Eject
Ah, quick addition to the above comment (since I can't edit). It
appears that the music on my iPod is no longer there, but just appears
in the library. The Music app just quickly skips over all the songs.
So I'm guessing the sync did actually happen, but the library is somehow
corrupted.

1. An old Thinkpad connected the internal optical drive via USB.
2. An internal card reader that fits a 3.5" drive bay and connects to a USB

I have an EPIA M910 (VX900 chipset) board with the latest BIOS (BIOS
1.01 2012/02/17 I2100101.zip). I have a Seagate SATA ST32000542AS drive
installed and a SATA PIONEER BDR-207D Blu-Ray burner installed for
backups. I have no IDE devices (the IDE slots on the mobo are empty).
