The instructions in bug #1063969 comment #7 allowed me to re-enable
graphical splash on all of the 3 following NVidia configs - and all keep
properly working framebuffer text consoles 1-6 :
- Toshiba Satellite L735-101 : NVIDIA GPU GeForce 315M (GT218)
- Dell Inspiron 9300 : NVIDIA GPU GeForce Go
Actually, S3 test calls: s3_check_log() which in turn checks:
Kernel log PM errors
Kernel log BIOS and ACPI related errors
Kernel log common errors
Kernel oopses
but it does not check for warning stack dumps such as the slowpaths. We
should add that too. I will pop that on my TODO list as we do

After rebooting the system, the networking service still in same state

I don't think this is just to do with staging. I can reproduce it on a stock
Ubuntu 12.10 desktop now:
1. Add a new user
2. Switch to that new user
3. Open several windows
4. Press Ctrl+Alt+D
5. Press Ctrl+Super+D
Expected: Windows only hide on Ctrl+Super+D
Observed: Windows only hide on Ctrl+Alt+
