Ok, I have tested with Quantal, using the stock kernel as of today.
I have also tested with mainline kernels 3.4.1 and 3.5rc1.
In all cases, the problem remains: suspend/resume works, but leaves the system
unable to reboot.

Now my upgrade failed installation of redmine seems to work.
After solving other not related to redmine apache starting problems
after distro upgrade I can log in in redmine and see my projects.
I do not know about the consecuences of the redmine upgrade failure.

It's only the user menu that seems to be having problems.
