I tried virtualbox on kernel 3.4 and I got an error message that say's I have
to run the following:
sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup
After doing so I got the following:
* Stopping VirtualBox kernel modules[ OK ]
* Uninstalling old Virtu
I found out that:
a) it only affects x64 systems
b) it is not related to ubuntu only, but also to fedora (and so I think on all
x64 systems)
c) it is related to the linux kernel, because I have a x64 windows and it works
"fine" (as far you can call windows fine ;) )
d) to run a x64 system thoug
Same problem still with the final version of 12.04 and all updates installed up
to the current day.
GIMP crashes pretty much all the time when doing the first or second Save.
Save as... is not needed, just normal Save will make it crash pretty regularly.

kernel 3.4.0 + your patch = same issue as currently experienced.

I have the same issue with my HD 6790.
Thanks very much for your patch, but sadly it does not work for me.
I patched sources of kernel 3.3.7, but the black and white stripes are still
there.

This patch was tier with kernel 3.4.0
When system is booting, and going into KMS on radeon driver no output on
the screen (backlight goes to full power and screen is blank)
