package ubuntu-standard 1.267 failed to install/upgrade: Error
It was a bit unclear for me so I made extreemely short compare of processes
that are same in both files. The bug we're in so strange that i'm starting to
doubt it's lightdm issue. But highly suspected. It was one of these.
First collumn is Dennis, second mine. Notice, how lightdm was not present
I ran "update-rc.d ondemand disable" which renamed all links to ondemand
to K01ondemand so that they should not be run during system
initialization. However, the system is still coming up with the CPU
governor set to ondemand. I can add cpufreq-set to my rc.local, but it
would be nice to know why

With this new version I have no tearing on 1366x768, 1024x768, 800x600

As of now (well, for couple of hours at least) we're having following
errors. These are known to happen from time to time, and dissolve after
some time (we usually attribute it to to ongoing package repository
update), but this ones seems like taking longer then usual, so figure

While I disagree with the premise of this bug report, it is not a

Laptop is a PackardBell EasyNote TK85. I don't know if it is a bug in
NetworkManager or ath9k, but I suppose it's ath9k, I also tried with
wicd, same problem. Problem exists since 11.04, I tried a lot to fix it.
Tested on Ubuntu and Kubuntu.

This is not a duplicate of bug 682788, which is about adding options for
visibility and position. Adding options would not make it more
discoverable, because finding the options would be an order of magnitude

I hope I had nailed the correct package.
Since upgrading to Ubuntu 12.04, it seems I had lost the possibility of
choosing printer option via system settings -> printer panel. As you can see in
the screenshot, there are no options available in the application; while I have
501 - 600 of 2199 matches
