I have no tearing in mplayer in fullscreen if the resolution is 16:9, but when it's anamorphic or just not exactly 16:9 (1,(7)), there is tearing in mplayer. So I have no tearing when playing 1280x720 or 1920x1080 video files, but have tearing with 720x406 I've just compiled your code, changed SDL_SetVideoMode(800, 600, 32, mode); to SDL_SetVideoMode(1366, 768, 32, mode); and can't see any tearing, but there is tearing in window mode without compositing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/755841 Title: [sandybridge] Graphics tearing when playing video To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz-core/+bug/755841/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
