12.04 and ltsp-server-standalone.
The point is that any program might change a .conf file. So in the case
of an update there is the question what to do with an non-standard .conf
file. This is a good thing and a ltsp install

I get the exact same problem with rhythmbox-client --play and several
other options (--pause, --play-pause, etc.) on my Precise install.
Interestingly enough, rhythmbox-client --notify seems to be an exception
of sorts; it still refuses to work, but returns instead:

Sigh. It looks like some new regression is in Unity 5 compared to Unity
4. The fix for the autoscroll timer still works, but it doesn't get the

I still think that the optional "use global menu only for maximized windows" is
still cleaner, easier and consistent. Nevertheless, i do not dislike LIM1.
Not so sure because in the meantime I switched to Gnome Shell. Will try again
