I have tested this on ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS and Ubuntu 10.10.

all was the fault of the XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR, that i used to put some of my
unclassified pdf, without knowing what's the purpose of that directory : create
a list of templates used to create documents ... accessible by right clicking
in thunar under the "create document" entry

added it in the ~/.mplayer/config like this: "vo=gl2:yuv=0"

I believe I have the same problem, but I'm not sure. Please enlighten
me.
I have a Sony Vaio VPCZ13 with two SSD's striped out of the box. In the
past I succesfully ran Natty and Oneiric. Now with Precise Beta 1 I
can't boot anymore. I get dropped in a Busybox shell with the error that
the device
All these were created by printing "Ausgabe.pdf" with evince.
