Ubuntu better. This one is going to be difficult to troubleshoot.
Maybe you can answer the following questions?
* Which flash package do you have installed?
* Which Java package do you have installed?
* Which Firefox extensions
screen-4.0.3-14ubuntu1.2 Ubuntu 10.04.3 is affected, too.
To workaround this one has to export the desired locale environment to
the screen command, e.g. "en_US.utf8" with:
@reboot LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 screen -d -m myprogram
PS. cron exports SHELL=/bin/sh to screen by default. Export e.g.
SHEL
Same problem when using a disk.
Problem seems to only be with manual partitioning.
When selecting side by side installation installer has no problems.
Did try to apt-get isntall --reinstall libparted with no futher success.
Also did note an error when apt-get update is performed.

behavior of the node tool in prior releases.

where most people would go to remove an application as they wouldn't
want to open the Software Centre to searh out the package and remove it.

Installer wouldn't let me customize my partitions the way I'm used to.
Usually you get to choose which partition you want to be root, crashed
soon as I asked for manual configuration.

Since Me TV's own scan routines didn't find any channel I created a
channels.conf. Me TV' import tool shows all channels but with signal
strength "0%". Changing the channel's order works but when clicking on
"OK" to import the channels to the database Me TV freezes

Reproducer attached. I can use this to reliably reproduce the busy loop
on my laptop and in a VM. So hopefully this provides the clues we need!
In the process of refining this test case, I also repeatedly ran into a
panic (!= EIO assertion failure in log.c), but I haven't been able to
figure out
