the root user, so currently only the systemuser can register and trigger
upstart jobs. Changing that will require a new upstart dbus configuration which
will hopefully become the default in the future. See also

I have this issue as well. For what it's worth, bug #849245 indicates
that this may be due to an Ubuntu-specific patch to GTK rather than the
appmenu itself. I tried removing the indicator-appmenu package entirely
and still had the same problem (although maybe that's because the
variable is still b
Andreas is right, we bet on the wrong horse too early. You either need
gstreamer-0.10 master to fix this or rygel 0.12 which reverts those
changes.
Please note that the current development version of Rygel will _not_
help since it uses the same code as 0.10.

mpGoodwin, on the screen shot one can see that your network print queue
is not enabled. Click on the empty box at "Enable" under "Printer
Status" so that a check mark appears in it. Try to print again then.

Not sure these symptoms would be the same on the later versions but on
Lucid I also encountered the following due to this bug:
service corosync stop - never completes. Hangs waiting for crmd to shutdown
(over 6 hours without a change)
crm ra info ocf:xx:xx - hangs the crm shell
crm configure pri
This is likely fixed in a newer release, by this commit:

Seeing this same problem on 11.04, linux-image-generic 2.6.38.10.25.
Disabling cron.d/mdadm for now, but would like to see a better solution
eventually. Probably going to move our kvm images off onto NAS anyway
though.

Wow that's a long thread.
I would like to support the request to make the Launchpad moveable - I
wish to place it at the bottom of the screen. The reason is I was
smashed up in a traffic accident over two years ago, and as a result my
eyesight and hand coordination don't work like they useta.
