Wow that's a long thread. I would like to support the request to make the Launchpad moveable - I wish to place it at the bottom of the screen. The reason is I was smashed up in a traffic accident over two years ago, and as a result my eyesight and hand coordination don't work like they useta.
The location on the left hand side means that I always make the Launchpad appear when I am trying to hit the 'back' button in my web browser (with subsequent delay), amongst many other things.
