This happens to me as well, and has even happened with Calc and Impress at
times.
Here is something interesting as well. Upon uninstalling "lo-menubar", the
menus did not seem to show anymore in Unity 2d. In the rest of my DM's
(including Unity '3d') it worked with no problems.

My first observations are that right after logging in I now get 130-150
fps instead of 100-120 fps from the nvidia card running through
virtualgl, and that I'm not seeing tearing any more when I move windows

I have installed both ppa's and I can confirm that FPS seem too be back like it
was in natty.
I have tested xbmc, ioquake3, RevengeOfTheTitans and they all seem to run much
better now.

I have installed linux mint 12. Gnome 3 still does the same thing.
However in mate it installs it correctly. It looks like gnome 3 is using
the wrong xorg trident driver. I would expect it to be the same in both.
This is a bug in the xorg trident driver and should be reopened. Thanks

I have noticed that when you drag and drop a text file onto Gedit in
Unity Launcher it opens in a separate Gedit window, however if I right
click in Nautilus and choose 'open with Gedit' it opens in my existing
instance of Gedit but in a new tab. The difference in behaviour is
unexpected.
