** Description changed:

I have recently bought a USB wireless key using a Realtek RTL8191SU
firmware* but after the upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10, I can not longer
  establish a connection with it.

The interface wlan0 seems to have been created, my SSID is discovered,
but I can not properly connect to it.

I have tried to compile Realtek drivers** unsuccessfully, since the
problem seems to be related to the fact that I am running a 3.0.0-12
linux kernel, whereas drivers only work for kernel < 2.6.37.

Ndiswrapper does not seem to work either.

Here*** a forum discussion about it.
