New info: My computer has two 3.5 speaker jacks. I have a 2.0 speaker
system with USB for power connected to one of the jacks. A pair of
headphones are connected to the other jack. I have both devices
connected daily and adjust volumes to switch from one to the other

What I experience is the following. Sometimes (I cannot really reproduce it
since it appears to occur randomly) the either the following happens:
- multiple windows have a window decoration indicating that they have focus.
- or the window that actually has focus is not decorated in as a focused wi
I can also confirm that it still affects me in 11.10. Reducing window
size makes the content appear in 11.10 and it used to do so in 11.04.
But that is not a lot of consolation, in some cases the window had to be
reduced beyond practicality in order to show content. :-(

iwlagn wifi driver in wpa mode corrupts
ok i have checked again the upper one icon shows the questions about
what to do and the other one directly open the dvd.. i am confused why
the two icons appear it should be possible that both of the icons merge
it will be better.

This happens to me on libreoffice 3.4.4. with Gnome Shell and mutter as well,
when compiz is not runnig. I use the nvidia drivers.
I still wonder who is the culprit: libreoffice, the compositor (mutter/compiz),
or the driver (nvidia)?

rhythmbox crashed with SIGS

Attempting to run a 32 bit opengl program falls back to software emulation.
I've tried that with Google-earth, Unreal Tournament and a small OpenGL demo.
I'm using the Ubuntu 11.10, 3.1.1 kernel and xorg-edgers ppa (2011-11-18 git
version of the graphic stack).
Using LIBGL_D
It apparently is triggered by the compiz gird plugin, because the
behaviour stopped when I deactivated it, if anyone is looking into it.
The new version of this plugin is really buggy as it misbehaves in other
