When printing a PDF document from Evince using a CUPS defined printer,
printing the document takes very long (up to 30 minutes). The
ghostscript process runs at 100% CPUTIME.

As in #7, I already tested the system with Ubuntu Kernel 3.0.0-12 and
3.0.0-13. Yesterday I tested the reboot with 3 mainline kernel, and here
the results.
The Problem persists with the following mainline kernel (system halts,
display is black, but no reboot):

I have the same exact problem. Poweroff just goes back to the login
screen with I assume part of the OS services shut down. The only way to
"cleanly" power off is to log in and do "sudo /sbin/poweroff now".
What is the root cause here? Wrong service shutdown order?

I suppose, we can't start indicator immideately - as we can't get
details which user is installing the indicator. So each user has to add
the indicator in autostart explicitely - as in multi-user environment
other users might not want to use this applet

I too have seen this message flood upgrading from natty to oneric in a
TTY after running the distribution upgrade package as per instructions
in the MOTD. I hope the flood goes away as per Eilert's experience...

include the output of "modinfo snd-hda-codec".

There was a patch added upstream in the end of October. This means that
as of today, you can follow the instructions here:
