took a very long time to work, but eventually it did, and then 'sudo

I have the same bug in Firefox 7.0.1 on a french installation of Kubuntu 11.10.
The standard paper format in France is A4.
I always use the last stable version of Firefox distributed by Canonical.

My system-wide time format is 24h. However, in my Empathy chat windows,
the time a message is sent is displayed in 12h (AM/PM) format; this
means Empathy does not honour the system-wide time format.
