browser. I have FireFox and Epiphany installed (Ubuntu 11.04) and links
from Thunderbird does not open in either browser. If I install Chrome,
it immediately opens the link in Chrome. How do I fix this so I can use

Just to clarify the problems i have seen and what my test has fixed.
On the aspire one the charge is correctly reported from boot until the charge
is full.
Then if you remove the powercord gnome power manager reports full charge until
the battery dies.
This is due to the fact that upower stops
carlotux, is file manager(nautilus) opening fine for you? Did you try to
re-login?

I have had the opportunity to try this issue on an Intel based machine
(I have attached the output of lshw). The issues does appear to be the

I too saw the double reporting of battery status, when I first installed
11.04. However, I saw it *before* I'd installed the patched upower, so I
don't think it's related to that (unless you tell me that you only had
one line *until* you installed the patch).

A note for anyone else trying this, the scanner will seem very slow -
this is because it seems to default to scanning at the maximum
resolution. Reducing the resolution to something sensible for everyday
use speeds things up immen
And another thing that might be helpful, please try playing the same
video with another movie player, VLC or whatever, to see if it behaves
the same way as totem, if it has the same behavior, if has the same
behavior, then we can rule out totem as the cause of it.

Essentially yes. You can not can access to the menu items in the wine
app because the top bar grabs the focus of the mount pointer as it
thinks you close enough to the menu that you actually wanted the menu.

Confirming (also Ubuntu 11.10 Classic with Tomboy 1.6.0-0ubuntu3).
You don't have to open a note to reproduce. The "global" shortcuts
defined in Preferences (e.g. Alt-F11) don't work eihter :(

Certainly I disagree - I'm somewhat an advanced user and I didn't know
the exact name of the Exec, obviously I knew enough to browse to
/usr/share/applications/ to start up and retrieve the exec name, ect.
Again here - on a fresh install I have 21 'startups', many that make no sense
running at st

The same happened with amd64 image of Ubuntu. Now I moved to openSUSE
11.4 and didn't get any errors, so the problem could be only with the
ubuntu installation. I'll attach the logs for this last setup,but don't
