Something weird happened. I don't know why but after many tries to get
the "backup location" preferences saved now they are saved OK and
everything is working Ok now.
I have not tried any additional way to solve this problem so I guess
that any of my attemps did the trick.

Same problem, I'm done with the Eclipse IDE, I am calling it quits.
I have had problems with Eclipse before in the past. With workspaces.
They were incredible easy to get into a state where they would render
Eclipse a useless piece of software. In the end they fixed that I think.

Thanks for the quick response Philip. I have tried what you suggested here,
and Ubuntu failed to install. I will give you more detailed info once I
re-try.
I have used the 1mb partition and marked it as bios_grub, and was unable to get
Ubuntu to load after the install. I have also tried to

Some users still found this problem and i'm reporting the bug for them
becouse they don't have a launchpad account.
The problem appears plugging in a ìn external monitor and only if them
are using Unity, with Gnome2 it doesn't happen: the resolution doesn't
match the new screen but remain the same
does this problem still exist in natty (11.04) ?

seems convinced there's a 0.6.0 of one but only a 0.5.6 of the other.
