Hi,

I've managed to make the crash go away by doing the following:
1) I've uninstalled all packages related to Ubuntu One
2) I've deleted every file/directory in my home directory which had a name
matching "*[bB]anshee*"
3) I've rebooted to get rid of some ubuntu one related processes which didn't
disappear during package removal
After this, banshee starts up with no problem.

I did steps 1 and 2 together, so no way to tell which one was the
relevant one.

Conclusion: as far as I am concerned, this bug can be closed. (Can I do
this myself?)

All the best,
Jochen
