I'm seeing the same thing with a Y450.
Happens to me even when on AC power with the battery in though - every
other report I've seen says battery only. If I take the battery out and
run on AC power only, everything works just fine. Battery + AC = panic.

This definitely isn't video related as it happens to me all the time and
I have no video running. It seems like it happens more when I have
banshee going BUT this could just be because I have banshee going a lot
of the day. I haven't had a freeze in 24 hours with screen saver and
"turn off monitor"

I just opened a PPT in the Libre tool for slideshows.
It was in "normal" view.
I played with the "zoom" tool in the lower right corner.
Minimized it and then maximized it.
The whole system booted me out and I had to re-login
