After startup it takes about 70-80MB of RAM. Now my compiz process chews ~250MB
after about 5 days of uptime.
This never happened with Maverick. I didn't check compiz memory usage with
Ubuntu Classic desktop on Natty.

Do we have evidence that this also breaks stuff in natty? Making a
change to such a central piece of toolchain in an SRU bears a lot of
regression potential, so it should only be considered if it fixes
actually known bugs.

happens. Running natty fully updated and with Ubuntu Classic Desktop.
Also, I've noticed that at least in my case, the dead zone appears to mask the
desktop, as middle-clicking it triggers the rotate desktop cube effect.

swapping and freezing the system. After killing the process things go back to

I have the same issue on 11.04 when playing audio from my netbook
through my laptop using PulseAudio.
The audio is very glitchy, playing at random. Sometimes it will play for

to do it keep asking for the password or auth password to do anything
and they were just working just before and yes it is a fresh install. I

Same here, it still persists in 11.04 although it seems to be happening less
then before.
I think it needs some buffering but this would mean a delay which will ruin any
use where sound is used as reaction on something you did. For music (which is
my main use) it would be fine though.
