Not in my case. I'm running a native install on a hard drive. It is
not quite consistent. I did get one of the run-tests to work once -
next time I tried, that one failed with the same error.

if you run uck 2.4.3 on natty you can't get it to run correctly because
it was not compatible with natty when it was released. Anyway the new
version released yesterday by upstream fixes the problems making uck
2.4.4 compatible with natty.

Since linux kernel version 2.6.38-7 the bluetooth cannot be turned on. It works
when rebooting on 2.6.37 kernel.
The applet show activate bluetooth. when clicking on it nothing happen.

hmm this does not seem to be pidgin specific, having it with other apps
too (shutter / empathy) - no I do not know how to reproduce it, as it
happens somehow randomly. e.g. I minimze/maximize/focus windows a lot
and then it just happens.
I do hardly believe I am the only ubuntu user with this prob
